Just came back from Kaixuan Training, was quite happy with the turn out. Had close
to 25 people today. I am really glad that turn out was this good especially when
A Division season is on. I know some of the boys are tired out, but I really appreciate
the committment.

In early April, we will be participating in the payalebar u19 league. Many big teams
like Tagawa, Tongwhye and Whyenam will be joining too. Its gonna be a very tough
practise for us, especially when we are sending u18 and u17 teams for this league.
But I guess its gonna help and prepare us for the youth cup that will follow right after.

Will be finalising the namelist and jerseys for the payalebar u19 league soon.
Oh ya! Welcome Fairfield B Boys to the squad! Thank God for everything!

KX vs FMSS C Boys

KAIXUAN vs FMSS C BOYS
Some KX boys came over to FMSS Training Camp for a friendly and I think they really
inspired my C Boys to play better basketball. Its definitely a morale booster for the KX boys
cos my FMSS boys look up to them.

Realised that my KX boys improved quite abit too...

KX vs NJC

KAIXUAN vs NJC
65 to 67

A Div is around the corner and I guess many JC teams are looking around for
teams to spar with and I am glad that NJC invited us for a friendly match. Most of
my u18s are from JCs too and I guess this would be a good exposure for them.

We had close to about 20 players on that day, from batches 91, 92 and 93. But
my priority wasnt just to win the game, but to allow all players to have play time on
court. Of cos I hope to maintain a good scoreline.

KX did quite badly in the first 2 quarters, we were about 20 points behind! Our
man2man wasnt tight enough and there were many cases of uncalled screens.
Things got better when we switched to a zone defense and had a better flow
of passes.

Some crucial shots were made in the 3rd quarter and KX secured 8 rebounds in a
row.At the end of the 3rd quarter, NJC's man2man defense started to open up and
many open baskets were given. KX closed up at the 4 quarter.

Although KX lost the game at 67 to 65. It was a good training match and I am glad
that KX didnt just give up. We are getting better but not good enough. Lets Jiayou!

Btw my sister's players from Gan Eng Seng Primary tagged along and I guess
they brought joy to all of the KX boys as cheerleaders throughout the match.

KAIXUAN tRAINing

was kinda surprised to see 15 players for training today. With this kind of weather,
most would take the chance to skip training. But well, I guess we had a good 1
hour training before it started pouring again. Its been awhile since I see KX
boys playing in the rain again. Boys will be boys, it wasnt long before they try
to wrestle each other and start flexing their muscles for the camera.

adidas Nations Basketball League 09
3 points Shoot Out

A few Kaixuan and FMS(S) boys took part in the adidas 3 points shootout held at
Catholic High. Am proud to say that one of our Kaixuan boy, Dean, made it to 4th
position out of the 135 participants. Proud of you!

Anyways, Desmond and Cheesiang, my FMS(S) capt/vice capt, came for their first
Kaixuan training. Glad that they enjoyed it. Kaixuan is going to be a big part of
FMS(S) and vice versa.

Above is a picture taken by one of my Kaixuan player. The funny thing is that they
are in FMS(S) & PJC jerseys, but they look like they are all wearing Kaixuan jerseys!
Dont they?

KAIXUAN VDAY TRG
This training's attendance and atmosphere wasnt as good as the previous one,
but I am really glad that the boys still come for training despite its valentines day.
Ok, maybe those who came were single and with no dates but there are a few
very sensible ones who made plans to shift their valentines celebration to a later
date. It could be a smarter choice too as expenses would not be that high.

After training we sat together and had a Vday dinner as a team. Well, better than
nothing! haha

MENS OPEN

Mens Open training is really picking up, we have more and more established players
coming for training. I am really glad that they are willing to join KX and help KX rise in
the Mens Open Category. Soon I will need to confirm on the core group and train on
more specialised stuffs.

Those younger ones who are not in school team were advised to come for mens open
training as well. I am sure they will benefit from it.

KAIXUAN TRAINING

Kaixuan training resumed after the CNY break. Although the weather was rather
gloomy today but it didnt rain. (it almost did) Thank GOD!

Today's attendance was great! the training atmosphere too. As for the standard of
training, its improving and hopefully it will keep getting better. We will be joining a
u18 tournament in march, if there's a clash with A div, I may only send a youth team.
Maybe FMSS can send a team as well? Will see =)
